POOR CONDITION OF RURAL PEOPLE AND IGNORANCE OF PEOPLE ABOUT HEALTH AND EDUCATION..

there was one young patient who was suffering 4m severe hypertension(b.p-220/100) and tachycardia. The hospital supply consist of only one medicine of hypertension, but this was not enough for treating her.I prescribed her two more medicines and advised her to continue these and advised her some investigations and also advised her to consult one cardiologist.Due to poor monetary condition and also ignorance and also advice 4m other people, the patient only took those medicines for 1 week and at the end of one month patient came wid profuse hypertensive epistaxis(nasal bleeding).at that time i also refered her 2 higher centre but she refused.then i prescribed her and her husband on that day bought all medicines.fortunately patient got cured.again i referrd her and advised her all relevent investigation and i advised her to continue all medication.but i m sure she will again discontinue.on one side this is due to poor monetary condition, and on the other side it is due to ignorance of people about health and education.so bottomline is that 1)we hav to work hard to uplift the poor,2)health and education should go simultaneously.

Natural calamity....i mean to say as water in all the rivers of Barak Valley is crossing the danger zone, the rural life is becoming tough for everyone. The way to my hospital is half under water, I have to go on foot to see patients for last 3 days...this is not a big problem but the real challenge is faced by rural people as their daily source of income is under threat…so their livelihood…it is same for everyone out there ranging from daily wage worker to autodrivers, shopkeepers….even schools education is under jeopardy…students unable to attend schools, teachers unable to attend schools….then when we look towards health care facilities…condition is same…people unable to go to hospital though they are the one who really need medical attention at that time….though boat clinics are not operative here as of now, but if some communication is made somehow so that we can reach those needy people…we are ready to serve them…reaching door to door…I don’t know whether these steps are feasible or not….if not….again sufferings will be for poor rural people…as urban patients will not be having any problem to get access to treatment centre….

Dr.Chiranjib, you are absolutely true, there is no doubt about that, interalia ignorance, lack of awareness, poverty amongst our people are the crucial factor. I think, time has come we should take the responsibility to eradicate all this menace from the society.

You have been trying your level best to cure the poor people & your efforts are LAUDABLE INDEED.You are one of the very few doctors who still have ethics. Most of the doctors now-a-days lack ethics.
